Blessing #5 - Chris Kelley - Overcomer

When I think of Chris, I think of someone with a profound understanding of God's love and God's reliability!  Chris lived just a few doors down from me in Guynes during college.  Chris has this strong ability to sense other peoples pain, frustration, and loneliness.  Over and over again I've seen him walk up to a professor, to student body member, or just someone up in public and just give profound encourage, a laugh, or a simple hug!   More times than I can count, Chris has come to me in moments I had only cried out for God to send a healing touch to my life!  He's spoken words of encouragement, words challenging me to pick up the broken pieces and keep moving, and he's been there in silence when silence is what I needed most.  Chris is a genuine reflection of the Father's love for us!   Chris has had his share of pain, suffering, and trials.  Chris has had seizures a great portion, if not all of his life.  I often witnessed what they did to him.  I've seen people hurl insults upon him, misunderstand him, and ignore him.  Sounds just like the Rabbi I follow!  Thanks Chris for being like Christ in just being you!   Just a few years ago, he moved to Hawaii and married the girl of his dreams.  Romie is a sweetheart  and also a dear friend!  Shortly after he got married he had brain surgery and has been seizure free every since! Though there are health obstacles he still faces, in my eyes I'll always see him as an overcomer!
